In this treatment, the brachial plexus can be blocked at different levels, which are by the area of the jugular and above the clavicle, below the collarbone, at the axillary level, by the medial-humeral and between the anterior and medial scalene muscle. This brachial plexus block is commonly used by anesthesiologists, just before surgery is performed on the arm area. By placing the anesthesia at any level, different areas of the arm are blocked, thus inhibiting limb pain, both at the time of surgery and during recovery.
